2025, July.
WHAT IS UP, AUGUST? Before I fully welcome the ghost month, as what they call it, let me bring you back to my July.
Charot, I can barely remember what happened last month. My long-term memory isn’t serving me quite right since birth (and yes, I am yet again, using the mom card HAHA) but here’s what’s been up.
MOTHERHOOD IS FINALLY SINKING IN.

Can I just say – motherhood is a full-time job!! Ngayon, naiisip ko na ang galing galing galing galing galing galing ng nanay ko (at ng nanay mo!) kasi napagkakasya niya yung 24 hours in a day. Because I can’t. As we all know, my time management sucks even before I became a mom, and it became suckier, if that’s even a thing. I can’t even stick to my pumping schedule because I am too flustered after work, and all I ever want to do is sleep.
What my day typically looks like:
- 5:00 am – time out from work. I should pump right after para breastmilk and first feeding ni Seth when he wakes up. But shit, by this time, super antok ko na. But sometimes, I try very hard to pump first before going (back) to sleep lol
- 7:30 am – Sonny goes to work, and my mom comes to the rescue. Usually, ganitong oras din gumigising si Seth, so right before Sonny goes to work, ginigising na niya si Mama (but usually gising na si Mama and is already drinking her coffee) for Seth just so I could get some more sleep. This is also Seth’s first milk of the day.
- 10:00 am – I wake up to prepare lunch. Sabog pa ko neto and can barely function, fight or flight lang ako neto and minsan magugulat na lang ako nakaluto na ko. I am so lutang pa sa mga oras na to. And I don’t eat breakfast, no. Very seldom because I would rather sleep. Dapat din, nagpupump na ko neto for Seth’s lunch. Na sobrang minsan ko lang gawin, to be honest.
- 11:00 am – Sonny comes back to work and we eat lunch. Then right after lunch, naghuhugas na agad ako ng pinagkainan and feed the house dogs because ayoko na gawin ‘to once umakyat na ako ulit sa kwarto. Sonny feeds the big dogs around 1-2 pm.
- 1:00 pm – 3:00 pm – I honestly don’t know what happens sa tatlong oras na ‘to. Very random. Sometimes I sleep, sometimes I do other things like my nails or write in my journal, watch TV, play with Seth. This is my free window. 80% of the time, nag pphone lang ako as I try to sleep. Tapos magugulat na lang ako 4:00 pm na leche.
- 4:00 pm – Sonny prepares dinner. Well, depende kung anong lulutuin niya but he prepares dinner early. Unlike other people na sa lunch nagluluto ng meal and possible na same ulam ang kainin sa dinner, in our house, dinner usually nagluluto and whatever matitira usually iniinit ko lang for lunch kinabukasan HAHA
- 5:00 pm – I normally prepare for work. Naliligo na ko ng mga oras na ‘to para di na ko magmadali for my shift in the evening. But bago ako maligo, usually nagpupump ako for Seth’s dinner.
- 6:30 pm – we eat dinner.
- 7:30 pm – settled na dapat ako for my shift.
- 8:00 pm – work
- 12:00 am – lunch break, pump.
- 5:00 am – repeat.
Sobrang basic ng schedule ko but still, di ko magawa. As an Aries girl, I am not big with routines, Ayoko ng pare pareho yung araw ko. So most of the time, di ko nagagawa ‘to. Which sucks, I know. And medyo nakaka-guilty nga because kung babalikan niyo, sobrang bihira ko nalang mag pump. Sobrang layo sa target ko. But, yeah. Also, I am very very lucky and blessed to have my mom, she helps me with everything, especially with Seth. Huhu.
DENGUE, HOSPITALIZATION, AND SETH’S 4TH MONTH.
Sonny was admitted Thursday night, so that makes today our 4th day in the hospital. He is okay, but sa hospital kami nag-celebrate ng 4th month ni Seth. As you all know, we like to celebrate Seth’s monthsary by eating out and dressing him up as whatever Disney-Pixar character I could find. So for this month, he’s Mike Wazowski from Monsters Inc. HAHAHA

I didn’t go for the mainstream monthly-cake-tapos-nakahiga-si-baby photoshoot because… ang korni. And everybody’s doing that already. Instead, I decided to dress him up every month with disney-pixar characters. Nothing specific, kung ano lang mahanap at mabili ko online HAHA but it has to be from a Disney-Pixar movie.
So far, we’ve done Mickey Mouse (first month), Woody from Toy Story (second month), Winnie the Pooh (third month), and Mike Wazowski from Monsters Inc (fourth month).
I am very grateful to have the luxury of working from home. NGL, minsan iniisip ko na hindi ako para sa wfh because nabobored na talaga ako from 3 years of doing it. But now that I am a mom, I wouldn’t want it any other way. I love being a present wife and mom. Just imagine if I am working in the corporate world and these things happen – magleleave pa ko, iisipin ko pa who would take care of my son when my ML is over, etc etc. I cannot go back anymore. Sobrang nasa distant past ko na ang magtrabaho sa corporate.
WEBSITE DESIGNER ERA

I recently purchased Becca Luna’s website design course, and I am really happy with my decision. Unlike before na bili lang ako ng bili, I’ve given this course so much thought, not because I didn’t think it’s worth it, but because I like this skill very very much, na I don’t want to kill it with the pressure that comes from paying to really learn it.
I’ve been blogging since 8th grade, and like any other blogger’s dream. I also wanted a gorgeous and functional website. But of course, we all know that hiring a web designer can be very expensive, especially for a hobby blog. So I taught myself basic HTML/CSS/website designing. And I am so happy that I am finally stepping into that dream!!
I am currently designing my portfolio website and I cannot wait to share it with you!!
July has been all over the place. So for this month, I am trying to gain some structure.
So yeah. Happy August, I guess.
