I made it my goal to sponsor at least 1 dog per month. For this month, I am sponsoring Garen.

Description: Garen is our ultimate ambassadog. He was a hit and run victim, he had owners but they could not afford to bring him to the vet. He was reported to us during the pandemic, 3 days post the accident. Both his eyes were popped out and it was just too late to save them so they had to be enucleated. It did not take a while before he adjusted to being a totally blind dog and it still leaves us in awe. He comes with us in almost every event, working hard for his fellow rescues! Kidding aside, he loves going to events and meeting everyone, getting all the love and pet he deserves.

When I was choosing the dog to sponsor, iniisip ko if I should choose someone else since Garen is quite popular, I am sure madami nang nagssponsor sa kanya. But then sabi ko, I don’t care. I am sure the team would use my sponsorship as they see fit. I don’t care kung kanino mapunta yung sponsorship ko. Use it as needed.

Kung tutuusin, P1,000/month is a small amount to take care of a dog, much more if the dog has special needs, such as Garen. I have dogs at home and part talaga sila ng monthly budget namin Not to mention the legwork and the amount of time and attention they need. Saludo talaga ako sa mga volunteers and people who are really taking the time and all that they have to rescue animals.

Madami din kaming rescue animals here in Bulacan. And as much as I want to adopt new dogs, especially senior dogs, I know I am not qualified. Parte din po ng pagiging responsible pet owner yung pag-assess sa sarili mo kung kaya mo ba mag-alaga ng hayop, hindi lang dahil cute o may lahi. I know I can’t adopt and so I decided to sponsor instead.

Madaming ways to sponsor an animal through Pawssion Project. Pwede ka mag-volunteer, maglaan ng oras mo to visit them, feed them, help with the legwork. Or you can support financially – monthly, bi-annually, or annually. Just let them know. I decided to sponsor monthly because hindi naman tayo anak ng contractor ano (lol), and also, I want to sponsor as many dogs as I can, kung sino may kailangan ng financial support at the moment.

One of my goals is to volunteer and visit them, if my schedule permits. Maybe kapag medyo malaki laki na si Seth. And hopefully paglaki niya, he’ll be into animals, too.
