Okay, bye.
I’ve been a very, very lazy blogger the past few months, and you can’t blame me – I’ve been busy with a lot of stuff! But that’s not all. I’ve been contemplating the past few weeks as to how I want to go along with my blogging. As I have mentioned in my previous post, I am not sure how much (or how little) I want to share about my life in a public platform like this blog. As much as I love blogging, I learned to live my life privately the past couple of years that writing about it publicly has become… uncomfortable.
I know myself, I have my own way of blogging. And I don’t want to be a hypocrite (even to my blog) and just write about the good stuff. When I created this blog, I told myself that I would use it to document my life, in all its forms and glory, not just update it when my schedule allows. And revisiting this blog after months of abandoning it made me realize I have failed. It defeats the purpose. I didn’t even write about our China and Vietnam trip, which is very important for our family because it’s my son’s first plane ride and first trip abroad!
So in short, more than anything, this blog has become just another thing I need to maintain. For what? Nothing.
And so I decided to close this blog for good. For many reasons, actually. To keep my personal life private, to minimize my digital footprint, and to focus on what matters most now: building my career and my business.
I’ve been blogging since 2007. In fact, my posts from 2007 still exist in a private domain. That’s enough for me, for now. To keep my thoughts away from the public eye.
So yep, this is goodbye to my 19 years of blogging.
