I’ve been blogging for 18 years and still, the About page is my least favorite page to write. How can you tell something about yourself without boring other people?

Or maybe it’s the copywriter in me that’s always asking –
So what? Why would they care?

But just this once, pretend to care okay? And I will also keep in mind that I am not writing this page for a client so I can yap about anything for as long as I want.

To start, I want to clear up the air – I am a first time mom (35 weeks 4 days pregnant as I write this!) but this is not a blog about motherhood. For one, I wouldn’t expose my son to the cyberspace. Not even a tiny picture of his face you’ll see on this blog. Although I am certain that every once in a while, I’ll be here to boast about whatever my son is capable of saying and doing. And I am quite certain that the first word he’ll be able to say is either f*ck or sh*t. And he’ll probably hear and learn it from me.

Which brings me to my second point – I curse, a lot. I curse when I am happy, when I am sad, when I am excited, pretty much whatever I am feeling at the moment. There’s just something about cursing that makes the emotion more… real.

I’ve been blogging since 2007 and I started on Xanga, Livejournal, moved to Multiply (which I believe is the BEST blogging platform that ever existed!!), then Tumblr, Blogspot, and now, WordPress. For a long time, I’ve been using a hosted blog (wordpress.com) but in 2020, I finally bought my own hosting and domain. Unfortunately, all my blog posts were deleted when I needed to delete my old gmail account for some personal reason.

Moving on, I am a hoarder. I hoard hobbies, stationeries, pens, stickers, trinkets, and online courses. To this day, I have tried learning candle making, junk journaling, nail art designing, and most recently, intimate event styling. Right after I give birth, I am planning to enroll in a cooking class just so I wouldn’t feed my son with Jollibee and Mcdo all the fcking time. I also have formal training in social media management, podcast management, and copywriting.

I believe that this blog will give you the bird’s eye view of all the things I have hoarded in my life. This will be a collection of thoughts, realizations, hobbies, lessons learned, adventures, and skills I have accumulated throughout my years. I will blog about anything that sparks my creativity and curiosity. Unlike all the famous blogs out there, I will live and blog as if I am in 2012, the best blogging era – no niche, just pure thoughts that I want to keep for as long as this blog exists, with intention of preserving life-long memories.

I hope I would meet other people who are into this kind of blogging. I am so tired of seeing blogs that are so curated it defeats the purpose of documenting life. I hope I can meet new people with the same curiosity and drive to write about their life experiences and realizations, not just post pretty photos that are way too different from the real-life experience.

And I hope they’ll find me, too.
